In April, the Houston International Festival spans 20 city blocks and includes over 1,800 performers by most perfect artists in various fields from around the world. If you are not an event based visitor, fall through spring is the best time to see Houston comfortably. If you are planning to go out for watching a theatre performance, then; join one at at The Denaina Civic & Convention Center on April 27, 2011. It’s from one of the well known artist John Edward. Also, if you are interested in any outdoor sports then you can join one as the Faster than a Falcon 5k run walk at Clark Middle School on May 1, 2011.

 

No doubt there are many places to visit at Houston which can also be selected as per different moods and situations of the people. La Porte Museum near Houston is really a famous place to visit as it has something for everyone. You can experience the world's tallest memorial column, witness revolution in the Jesse H. Jones Theatre for Texas Studies. Discover the nation's past among the museum's exhibits and antiquities. Even the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences is a must one time visit as you can find a spectacular collection of a dinosaur skeleton, a planetarium, mineral specimens, space-station models, IMAX theater and a six-story butterfly center in which these beautiful creatures land delicately on outstretched arms.

 

NASA-Johnson Space Center is also located in Houston so if you are at Houston, you must give a visit to the NASA-Johnson Space Center as you will get to learn how the astronauts gets trained and  also that's the place where you go as close as you can to the "real" NASA. From art and artifacts to biking and birdingùSan Jacinto is where America goes to see its past and enjoy its present. While you are at Houston, you can also tour the historic Battleship Texas which was once the most powerful weapon in the world enjoys the nature trail.

 

The Downtown Aquarium, part of Landry's Restaurants, Inc. is popular attraction here in town for its entertainment & exhibits of underwater life, as well as its restaurant. It is one of the good places to take your kids along and if you want to eat at the restaurant, a family could make a decent evening of it. The Downtown Aquarium definitely stands out at night. Bright neon lights illuminate the surrounding area, & even attract attention.
