The 2012 Greenpoint Film Festival celebrates the growing artistic and social vibrancy of the neighborhood with four days of exciting screenings, panels, and Q & A sessions. The Second Annual festival schedule includes programs curated along themes of Environment, Community, Social Justice, and Performance Art, and competitive categories of short- and long-form narrative, documentary, and experimental film. Taking place over four days in three different venues, highlights include the documentary Deaf Jam, with a Q & A afterwards with the director and subject of the film; an Environment-themed program taking place in the Newtown Creek Visitor's Center; and a retrospective of the influential work of Bill Morrison.
